Post 109. Your Free Wind In My Sails

With your free wind in my sails

I shall cut my mooring to bits

I am ready to drown

I am ready to drown

With your free wind in my sails.

My morning passed in vain

Wasted evening follows

Moor me no more, tie me no more

Next to the shore.

I stay awake for my boatman

Through the night

The waves toy with me

Through the night

I shall befriend the thunderstorm

I shall not be deterred by its frown

Unmoor me, free me now

Save me with the storm

I am ready to drown

I am ready to drown

With your free wind in my sails.

(A Prayer; Rabindranath Tagore; 1914)
